Made of the same super-dense neoprene found in deep-water dry suits, the XT's highly flexible, 4-way-stretch, 5mm Densoprene® bootie delivers lightweight, comfortable, and self-insulating, 100% waterproof protection that shields feet from the cold and wet. A nano-scale hydrophobic coating that repels water and mud on contact, Hydrocote® water repellent coating ensures water rolls off the booties so it can't soak in or freeze up on the outside of the boot. Genuine hand-laid rubber overlays over most of the boot stay flexible for years, avoiding the cold cracking you can get with PVC or urethane construction. Reinforced overlays over the toes and heels boost protection even further. Under the feet, rigid steel shanks boost stability over uneven terrain and helps arch support to resist foot fatigue over long treks. High traction, molded MXT rubber outsoles for added grip over rugged terrain.
